The Kiwanis Club of East Greenup County, Kentucky, would like to thank the sponsors, runners, and community volunteers who helped make the 39th annual Run By The River a success.

The 5K and 10K runs and walks attracted 136 participants and 23 sponsors and earned the club money to carry out a host of service projects to better the local community. Among those projects are annual scholarships for Key Club seniors at Russell and Raceland-Worthington high schools, contributions to the county’s three schools’ family resource centers and food baskets for needy families at Thanksgiving.

Run By The River profits also help the club support a Builders Club at Russell Middle School, Shop With A Cop, the library’s summer reading program and more.
