PINE GROVE — The comedy team of Martin and Lewis dominated during their era.

There was nothing funny about the team of Lambert and Lewis but they, too, dominated their time.

The duo of Pat Lambert and Joyce Lewis dominated last week’s Ladies’ Nine-Hole Golf Association of the Ironton Country Club as each woman picked up wins in two events.

Before the tandem of Lambert and Lewis did their two-step, Margaret Donley handled the hostess duties and served breakfast treats before announcing the daily events.

Donley not only set up the events but picked up a win in the process along with Pat Riggs and Sharon Fox who won an event.

The group held its brief weekly business meeting at 9 a.m. and noted the course was in good condition and expressed their thanks to groundskeeper Cliff Jenkins and his staff.

It was announced that the annual Classic Tournament for the ladies will be held in August.

The Friday Couples’ Night continues with the men and women meeting at 5 p.m. Each couple is asked to bring an appetizer.

The next meeting on Tuesday will have Wanda Spears as the hostess. New members are always welcomed.
