Ironton youth football camp set for July 23

The second annual Ironton High School “Fighting Tigers” football camp will be Saturday, July 23, on Bob Lutz Field at Tanks Memorial Stadium.

The camp is for youths entering grades 3-through-8 as of the fall of 2016. The camp will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Fee is $25 and each camper will get a T-shirt. Players will have the opportunity to work with members of the high school coaching staff and Fighting Tiger players. There will also be guest speakers.

Interested persons may pre-register by contacting Brian Bowling at (740) 550-6877. Pre-registering guarantees the proper T-shirt size.

Registration the day of the camp is 9 a.m. in Tiger Alley.

Ironton youth soccer

registrations set in July

The Ironton Area Youth Soccer Association registrations for the fall league will be at the Ironton City Center, 301 S. 3rd St., from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The league is for youths ages 4-to-12 with birthdays between Aug. 1, 2004, to July 31, 2012. Fee is $20 per youth and $15 for each additional sibling. There will be a $5 late fee assessed per player after July 16.

Teams will be for under age 6 (co-ed), under 8 (co-ed) and under age 10 and under 12 for boys and under age 10 and under age 12 for girls.

NOTE: Youths must be registered by a parent or legal guardian.
