ROME TOWNSHIP — The Wyngate at RiversEdge is planning to bring Mayberry to the senior living community on Aug. 13.

Julie Poff, the activities director for the Wyngate, said the event, themed around “The Andy Griffith Show,” will begin at 11 a.m.

“Andy, Barney and Aunt Bee will be there, along with the squad car,” she said.

Country themed food will be offered and activities are free and open to the public.
