Court hears lengthy docket

The docket of Lawrence County Common Pleas Court was full Wednesday as defendants entered pleas on drugs charges, thefts and probation violations.

• Kimberly Gannon, 39, of 306 Washington St., pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree count of possession of heroin and three fourth-degree counts of trafficking in heroin. Retired Judge Richard Walton sentenced the woman to 17 months in prison and a one-year driver’s license suspension.

• Andrew Robinson, 31, of 128 Township Road 606, Ironton, was arraigned on fifth-degree counts of receiving stolen property and theft, to which he pleaded guilty. He also admitted community control sanctions violations. Walton sentenced the man to nine months in prison.

• Sarah Cherry, 21, of 1454 N. Calumet Drive, Worthington, Kentucky, was arraigned on a bill of information of fifth-degree possession of drugs, to which she pleaded not guilty. Walton continued bond from a lower court and set a pretrial for Aug. 17.

• Gary Stephens, 48, of 461 Township Road 1055, Proctorville, admitted CCS violations and was sentenced to eight months in prison.

• James Wood, 38, of Huntington, admitted CCS violations and was sentenced to 12 months in prison with a possible judicial release to STAR in three months.

• Aaron Jones, 32, of 1200 28th St., Huntington, was sentenced to four years CCS under intensive supervised probation, STAR and 200 hours community service. He previously pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree count of theft. Walton also ordered the man to pay $1,088 in restitution to Wal-Mart.

• Brian Webb, 37, of 95 Private Drive 1005 Township Road 204, Willow Wood, pleaded guilty to two fifth-degree counts of breaking and entering. Walton sentenced the man to nine months in prison.

• Amy Patrick, 24, of 69 Township Road 1026, South Point, pleaded guilty to five fifth-degree counts of trafficking in cocaine and was sentenced to four years CCS/ISP, STAR and a six-month driver’s license suspension.

• Tiffany Harper, 28, of 718 Mulberry St., Ironton, was arraigned on a bill of information of fifth-degree theft and receiving property, to which she pleaded guilty. Walton ordered a presentence investigation and set sentencing for Wednesday.

• Keely Holtzapfel, 24, of 2839 S. Ninth St., Ironton, was arraigned on a bill of information of two fifth-degree counts of possession of drugs and misdemeanor counts of endangering children and possession of drug paraphernalia, to which she pleaded guilty. Walton ordered a PSI and set sentencing for Wednesday.

• Tiffany Weeks, 34, of 2333 Carter Ave., Ashland, was arraigned on a bill of information of fifth-degree trafficking in drugs, to which she pleaded guilty. Walton sentenced the woman to six months in prison.

• Clinton Spurlock, 30, of 11928 Kelly Drive, Ashland, pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree count of misuse of a credit card. Walton ordered a PSI and set sentencing for Wednesday.

• Earl Carter, 47, of 1304 County Road 52, Ironton, was arraigned on a misdemeanor count of aggravated trespass, to which he pleaded guilty. Walton sentenced the man to 180 days jail with 166 days suspended, three years CCS and 200 hours community service. He is also restrained from going around the victim in the case.

• Devon Harmon, 38, of 627 S. Seventh St., Ironton, was arraigned on a fifth-degree count of possession of cocaine, to which he pleaded not guilty. Bond was set at $15,000 cash or surety plus $15,000 own-recognizance. A pretrial was set for Aug. 24.
