HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Getting a first from an individual gave the Gallipolis Blue Devils a first-place finish.
Miles Cornwell was a medalist for the first time in his career as Gallipolis won a duel golf match with the Chesapeake Panthers on Monday at Esquire Country Club.
Cornwell shot a 2-over par 38 as the Blue Devils won the match 167-to-192.
Taae Hamid had a 39, Kaden Thomas with a 44 and Jeremy Brumfield 46.
Chesapeake was led by Derek Lemley with a 40.
