Kara Spencer had two reasons to celebrate. Unfortunately, her Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers could only join her for one of those reasons.

Spencer celebrated her birthday with a win but the Lady Tigers failed to win in their other matches as they fell to the Wheelersburg Lady Pirates in a tennis match on Tuesday.

No. 1 singles player Aleigha Justice lost in the regular season for the first time since 2014. No. 3 singles player Holly Bruce also fell as did Ironton’s No. 1 doubles team of Rachel Sanders and Sophie Caines and the No. 2 team of Savannah Justice and Sydney Webb.

Ironton visits Jackson at 4:30 on Thursday.
