Others charged with drug trafficking, theft

 

A man accused of robbing two Lawrence County banks at gunpoint was indicted this week by a Lawrence County grand jury.

Michael Crager, 37, of 103 Solida Road, South Point, was charged with two counts of first-degree aggravated robbery and two counts of third-degree tampering with evidence.

According to the indictment, the alleged bank robberies occurred on June 23 at WesBanco in South Point and Aug. 16 at PNC Bank in Ironton.

Crager was arrested Aug. 17 by the Ironton Police Department after tips from the public led law enforcement to a home in Ironton. During interviews with detectives, Crager allegedly admitted to committing the robberies to support a drug habit.

Other indictments as provided by the office of Lawrence County Prosecuting Attorney Brigham Anderson are:

• Billy J. Darby, 37, of 131 Zoar Hill Road, Coal Grove, first-degree kidnapping, second-degree felonious assault, fourth-degree disrupting public service and misdemeanor theft;

• Kelli Jo Runyon, 30, of 131 Zoar Hill Road, Coal Grove, first-degree kidnapping, misdemeanor assault;

• Teresa L. Willis, 45, of 593 County Road 119, Ironton, third-degree unlawful sexual conduct with a minor;

• Paul D. Baldwin, 31, of 100 Hogsett Hollow, Ironton, fifth-degree and misdemeanor public indecency;

• Christopher Thomas, 31, of 308 Second St., Ironton, fourth-degree assault on a peace officer; fifth-degree harassment by inmate, third-degree escape;

• Raymond E. Jenkins Jr., 35, of 1173 County Road 1 Lot 1, South Point, three fourth-degree counts of trafficking in drugs, third-degree aggravated trafficking in drugs, fourth-degree aggravated trafficking in drugs, fifth-degree aggravated trafficking in drugs, fifth-degree possession of criminal tools and second-degree aggravated trafficking in drugs with a specification that Jenkins was in possession of $2,361 and a firearm at the time of his arrest;

• Kandas Johnson, 32, of 4182 Hart St., Ashland, fourth-degree aggravated trafficking in drugs, second-degree aggravated trafficking in drugs with a specification that Johnson was in possession of $2,361 and a firearm at the time of her arrest;

• Tony L. Wilson II, 25, of 1379 County Road 182, Kitts Hill, third-degree illegal cultivation of marijuana;

• Whitney L. Taylor, 29, of 125 Township Road 1161 Lot 16C, Proctorville, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance;

• Clarence E. Blair Jr., 37, of 8467 State Route 243, South Point, fifth-degree possession of drugs, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia;

• Ann M. Bowen, 29, of 707 State Route 775, Scottown, third- and fourth-degree theft;

• Wesley T. Plumley, 24, of 114 Meadows Court, Beckley, West Virginia, fifth-degree complicity to breaking and entering, misdemeanor complicity to theft;

• Clinton Cremeans, 36, of 433 Private Drive 856, South Point, two misdemeanor counts of theft from Speedway, fourth-degree theft from a person in a protected class, fifth-degree misuse of a credit card, fifth-degree receiving stolen property;

• Jonathan S. Eden, 42, of 84 Private Drive 8047, Proctorville, fifth-degree breaking and entering and fifth-degree theft from a person in a protected class;

• Richard Young, 32, of 2214 Davis Road, Crown City, third-degree having weapons under a disability, misdemeanor aggravated menacing;

• Jean Dodson, 35, of 3858 County Road 55, South Point, third-degree burglary;

• Michael D. Wikoff, 37, of 1141 County Road 105, Kitts Hill, fifth-degree theft and misdemeanor theft;

• Joey Carman, 33, of 6228 County Road 15, South Point, fifth-degree breaking and entering;

• Betty Dement, 47, of 51 Township Road 1231, Proctorville, third-degree tampering with evidence;

• Mickey J. Rowe, 45, of 291 County Road 7C, Ironton, two counts of fifth-degree misuse of credit cards;

• George Stanley, 33, of 1178 County Road 121, Proctorville, two fifth-degree and two misdemeanor counts of criminal non-support;

• Michael Gustin, 52, of 917 McGovney Ave., Ironton, two fifth-degree and two misdemeanor counts of criminal non-support;

• Danny Sellards, 34, of 84 Township Road 1337, South Point, one fifth-degree and one misdemeanor count of criminal non-support.

An indictment is a formal allegation that an individual has committed a crime. The accused are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
