ASHTON, W.Va. — The Green Bobcats have found an offense.

After winning their opener 50-22 over Manchester, Green followed that performance with a 60-0 shellacking of the Hannan Wildcats on Friday.

The Bobcats (2-0) had 401 total yards with 386 coming on the ground.

Tyler Darnell had a big game with 187 yards on 24 carries and scored four touchdowns. Quarterback Alex Hughes ran 13 times for 105 yards and was 2-of-5 passing for 25 yards. He also ran for a score.

Darnell had touchdown runs of 9 and 12 yards in the first quarter and Hughes added both conversion runs for a 16-0 lead.

Brayden Bush then tackles a Hannan runner in the end zone with 3:41 left in the quarter for a safety and it was 18-0.

Darnell had a 7-yard scoring run just before the half ended and it was 24-0 at the half.

The Bobcats came out clicking in the third quarter as Darnell ran 3 yards for a score, Hughes went 7 yards for a touchdown and Alec Smith added a 2-yard touchdown run. Tayte Carver, Darnell and Hughes all added conversion runs and it was 48-0.

Steve Smith had a 5-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter and Bush returned an interception 22 yards for a touchdown to complete the scoring.

Green gets its first big test this season with a trip to Eastern Meigs next Friday.
