You see it on dating websites. Looks aren’t that important.

That seemed to be the description used by the Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers who posted a straight sets volleyball win over the Fairland Lady Dragons on Tuesday in an Ohio Valley Conference game, 25-19, 25-20, 25-23.

“It may not have been a pretty win, but a win is a win,” said Ironton coach Beth Campbell.

Alyssa Lewis topped the Lady Tiger with 11 points and 28 assists. Zakia Lee added seven point and Lexi Wise scored six.

Shay Cox, Peighton Rowe and D’Laynie Keith scored four points each.

Nicole Wagner had eight points, Emily Chapman seven and Brooklyn McClain five to lead Fairland.

In the reserve match, Shay Cox racked up 11 points to lead all scorers as Ironton won 25-8, 25-20.
