The Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers’ tennis team beat Portsmouth Notre Dame 4-1 in their first meeting on Aug. 30.

The two teams met again at Ironton on Tuesday with the same results as Ironton beat the Lady Titans 4-1.

No. 1 singles player Aleigha Justice and No. 2 singles player Kara Spencer won their matches as did both of the Lady Fighting Tigers’ doubles teams of Rachel Sanders and Sophie Caines and Savannah Friend and Sydney Webb.

Ironton (5-2) visits Portsmouth on Monday and hosts Minford next Tuesday.

Ironton and Minford will finish a suspended match due to darkness from earlier this week prior to the regularly scheduled match.
