The National Wild Turkey Federation South Hills Longbeards Chapter will have its second annual Women in the Outdoors event at the K-Hill Shooting Range.

The event will be from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 23, and 8 a.m.-7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24.

Friday evening will be sign in and registration, meet and greet with dinner, raffles and a silent auction. Saturday will be the event day with classes all day and dinner and closing ceremonies at 7 p.m.

The event is for women ages 14 and older and is free to all current NWTF WITO members. The cost is $35 for non-members and will be utilized for an annual membership.

All meals and drinks will be provided and all participants will receive a free event T-shirt.

The following classes are offered: archery, pistol. Shotgun, rifle, canoeing, squirrel hunting, ATV safety, vehicle maintenance, turkey hunting 101, wilderness survival, fundamentals of fishing, arts and crafts, outdoor cooking, nature hike and self-defense.
