PINE GROVE — More events meant more winners.

There were six golfing events at last week’s Ladies Nine-Hole Golf League at the Ironton Country Club and a total of five winners.

Hostess Joyce Lewis served breakfast treats and announced the day’s plethora of golfing events.

Following play the group met for lunch in the clubhouse and Lewis announced the winners.

Rose Auble won two events while Connie Chamberlin, Margaret Donley, Sharon Fox and Lewis all won one event.

Members were reminded that the last Tuesday of the month — Sept. 27 — is Awards Day followed by Guest Day on Tuesday, Oct. 4.

Next week’s hostess will be Betty Fraley.

The Ladies Nine Hole meets at 9 a.m. on Tuesdays for a brief business meeting followed by golfing at 9:30. New members are always welcomed.
