PORTSMOUTH — The Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers played another tough tennis match but this one didn’t go their way.

Ironton lost 3-2 to the Portsmouth Lady Trojans on their senior night.

No. 1 singles player Aleigha Justice and No. 2 singles player Kara Spencer picked up the wins for the Lady Fighting Tigers.

Ironton will celebrate senior night on Tuesday for seniors Aleigha Justice, Savannah Friends, Kara Spencer, Holly Bruce and Sydney Webb.

The Lady Fighting Tigers host Minford at 4:30 p.m. The teams will finish their earlier match at Minford and then play the regular match.

Ironton visits Wheelersburg on Thursday before beginning sectional play Oct. 4-5 in Portsmouth.
