WHEELERSBURG — Talk about rude guests.
The Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers visited the Wheelersburg Lady Pirates on their senior night Thursday and not only got revenge for an earlier loss but spoiled the festivities in grand fashion.
Ironton won the match 5-0 and finishes the regular season with an 8-3 record.
Aleigha Justice avenged her only loss as she won the No. 1 singles match. No. 2 Kara Spencer and No. 3 Holly Bruce also won in singles play.
The Lady Fighting Tigers’ No. 1 doubles team of Rachel Sanders and Sophia Caines won as did the No. 2 team of Sydney Webb and Savannah Friend.
Ironton got another win as Katelyn Caskey won a jayvee match.
The Lady Fighting Tigers will play in the sectional tournament Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 4-5, at Portsmouth.
