FRANKLIN FURNACE — This is one group of ladies who mean it when they say looks don’t matter.
The Symmes Valley Lady Vikings struggled at times as they beat the Green Lady Bobcats in a Southern Ohio Conference volleyball game on Thursday, 25-22, 25-22 and 25-13.
“It wasn’t pretty but it was a win,” said Lady Vikings’ coach Kristin Klaiber.
Sierra Ross led the Lady Vikings with eight points including three aces plus 19 assists. Erica Ross had eight points with three aces and five assists.
Kinley Patterson knocked down 13 kills while Makayla Herrell and Olivia Jarrell had four kills each.
Herrell also had seven points with an ace and Rachel Hayes added six points with an ace.
Symmes Valley visits Rock Hill at 6 p.m. on Monday in a varsity-only game.
