Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers’ head basketball coach Doug Graham is asking for photos or copies of photographs from the 1980 and 2005 state tournament games.

Basketball officiating
class to begin Sept. 28
The Ironton and Portsmouth chapters of the Southeastern Ohio Basketball Officials Association are offering a class for beginning officials.
The class is a requirement for all new officials who wish to referee Ohio High School Athletic Association sanctioned games in grades 7-12. The class will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 28, and last approximately eight weeks. There will be 25 classroom hours and numerous scrimmages to work.

Special Needs Youth
Sportsman field day set
Special Needs Youth Sportsmen Inc. will hold a free field day and European pheasant hunt for all interested special needs youth on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the K-Hill Indoor Shooting Range facility at 9905 State Route 141, Kitts Hill.
The event begins at 10 a.m. Participants are urged to arrive and sign in by 9:30.
Activities include clay targets, archery, still target shooting and pheasant shooting. The entire event is free to all participants and families. All equipment and materials will be furnished for all participants.
Lunch will be provided free for all participants and families. For planning purposes families are urged to pre-register by calling 740-646-6400 or 304-962-2709, or register on line at www.specialneedsyouth.org.
No hunting license is required.

Oak Hill to sponsor
men’s softball tourney
The Oak Hill Oaks’ baseball team will sponsor a men’s 18-and-older double elimination softball tournament Friday and Saturday, Oct. 1-2, at Oak Hill High School.
Fee is $160 per team. Tournament is open to the first eight teams to register. Awards given to first- and second-place teams.
