Haunted tunnel great for community

While the fall season brings excitement and smiles to many people, one of Lawrence County’s annual traditions may just change that joy to fright, even if that fright is just for a few minutes.

Beginning Saturday, the Ironton Lions Club opens its haunted tunnel for this year.

The historic tunnel will be open for those who are willing to go inside, and is sure to provide some thrills and excitement.

The members of the Ironton Lions Club work hard each season to bring a fun, yet scary adventure to residents of the Tri-State.

The haunted tunnel will be open to the public every Friday and Saturday throughout the month of October, starting at 7:30 p.m.

We applaud those who volunteer countless hours of time and resources to ensure this tradition continues each fall, because it is not only entertainment for the community, but also a way to raise the funds needed for the club to make a difference in a myriad of community projects.

One thing is for sure, you may laugh or cry, but ultimately knowing you are taking part in making a difference in our community should quickly bring that smile back to your face.
