Reoma Kelley

Reoma Kay Kelley, 75, of Willow Wood, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington. She was born July 15, 1941, in Ironton, daughter of the late David and Evelyn Duty Kinstler.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Wayne Kelley; one son, David (Glenna) Kelley, of Willow Wood; two daughters, Becky (Rick) Higgins, of Kitts Hill, and Trena (Paul) Combs, of Kitts Hill; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Darrell (Patty) Kinstler, of Franklin Furnace; one sister, Brenda (Dallas) Tibbs, of Kitts Hill; several nieces and nephews; and special fury friend, Kelley.
She loved spending time with her family. A private family graveside service will be held. There will be no visitation. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

 

Carol Poynor

Carol Elizabeth Poynor, 63, of Ironton, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at St. Mary’s Medical Center-Ironton Campus. The Ironton native was born Aug. 4, 1953, a daughter to the late Edward and Catherine Sites Poynor.
Ms. Poynor was a 1971 graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School. Carol went on to work as an employee at Hills Department Store and later worked as an administrative assistant at Ashland Specialty, where she retired from in December 2015. She was of the Christian faith and also was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by an infant sister, Linda Sites; a special aunt, Elizabeth Sites “Aunt”; and best friend, Becky Turley.
Carol is survived by a son, Nicholas (Courtney) Poynor, of Kitts Hill; two granddaughters, Veronica and Katelyn Poynor, of Kitts Hill; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home with pastor Mike Triplett officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Patricia G. Huges, 63, of Ashland, Kentucky, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016, at home. Arrangements are pending at Brown Funeral Chapel.
