Gary Barnhart

Jan. 9, 1957 — Oct. 21, 2016

Gary Dee Barnhart, 59, of Ironton, passed away Friday, Oct. 21, 2016 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Ashland, Kentucky. The Ironton native was born Jan. 9, 1957, the son of the late Charles “Zeke” Barnhart and Freda Sharp Barnhart.
Gary attended the Ironton City Mission Church.  He was an avid Reds fan who loved fishing and watching John Wayne movies.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Nancy Barnhart; brother, Tommy Barnhart; maternal grandparents, Artie and Evelyn Sharp of Oak Hill; paternal grandparents, Charles Barnhart, Elizabeth Barnhart Ratliff and Raymond Ratliff, of Pedro.
He is survived by sister, Carletta (Don) Forbush, of Kitts Hill; sister, Pam (James) Plessinger, of Kitts Hill; brother, Charles David (Linda) Barnhart, of Circleville; brother, Toby (Barbie) Barnhart, of Lavalette, West Virginia; brother, John (Angie Ray) Barnhart, of Hanging Rock; sister, Paulette (Donnie) Klaiber, of Ironton; aunt, Yvonne Boggs, of Oak Hill; uncle and aunt, F.D. and Gail Barnhart, of Pedro; uncle and aunt, John and Eloise Sharp, of Oak Hill; uncle and aunt, Steve and Sandra Sickles, of Jackson; and special friend, Joyce Ferguson.

Michael Gallion

Michael Wayne Gallion, 56, of Ironton, passed away on Oct. 22, 2016, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. The Ironton native was born March 2, 1960, a son to the late Roy E. and Betty Jo (Riggs) Gallion.
Mr. Gallion was a 1978 graduate of Ironton High School. Michael worked as a machinist for Jenmar McSweeney’s.
Michael is survived by a daughter, Jordyn Michelle Robinson, of Ironton; a brother, Tim Gallion, of Texas; an uncle, Jim (Pat) Riggs, of Ironton; two aunts, Susie Woods, of Ironton, and Helen Riggs, of Georgia; a nephew, T.J. Gallion, of Texas; and seven cousins, Jackie (Greg) Lewis, of Ironton, Christianne (Frank) Murphy, of Ironton, Jana (Dave) Mull, of Texas, Debbie (Ralph) Fitzgerald, of Ironton, Tommy (Cathy) Woods, of Ironton, Jason (Kathy) Riggs, of Georgia, and Jessica (Lael) Wheeler, of New Jersey.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by life companion, Jackie Burns.
A celebration of life with viewing will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home.

Richard Conley Jones, 60, of Huntington, died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, at home. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Daisy Christine Maynard, 80, of Chesapeake, died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Maynard. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville.

Joyce S. Shirley, 70, of South Point, died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at home. Joyce is survived by her husband, Philip Shirley. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, by pastor D.L. Webb.  Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller.
