Mero’s message important

We all make hundreds, if not thousands, of decisions throughout the course of each day.
Each of these choices can have a profound impact either positively or negatively, and each decision we make will have a result. That is the message from former boxer and professional wrestler Marc Mero who spoke last week at South Point High School.
Mero, who had times throughout his life, both at rock bottom and at the height of his professional career, where his choices were easily life altering.
Unfortunately, we see this all too common today with choices of young people and adults alike when it comes to drug and alcohol abuse.
Reaching out those who have turned to a life of drugs and alcohol by getting them help and educating on how to make better choices is key.
We applaud those who worked to organize the event last week because it is especially important to get this message out to our young people early in life to show how these choices can drastically change a person’s life.
In the end, every decision we make daily have a consequence, either good or bad, but making as many informed decisions as possible can help tip the scale to the good.
