Betty J. Belcher

Betty J. Belcher, beloved mother, 85, of Ironton, passed away on Nov. 11, 2016, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell.
The Mingo County native was born July 14, 1931, the daughter of the late Lewis and Synthia (Howard) Jude. Betty was a graduate of Chattaroy High School, West Virginia, class of 1949.
Upon moving to Ironton in 1949, Betty was employed at Hamburger Inn in Ironton.  She also worked at Vesuvius Lake, Pedro, Ironton General Hospital, the Flame Restaurant in Coal Grove, and Elmwood Village in Catlettsburg, Kentucky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence R. Belcher; one brother, Lawrence Jude; and one sister, Unokie Jude Koren.
She is survived by one daughter, Deborah (Rick) Hurley of Cannonsburg, Kentucky; three sons, Michael (Teresa) Belcher, of Ironton, Richard Belcher of Ashland, and Joseph Belcher, of Ironton; three granddaughters, Leigh Ann Bazell (Steve Easterling, her fiancé) of Ironton, Jennifer Belcher, of Ironton, and Amariah (Matt) Fultz, of Flatwoods, Kentucky; one great granddaughter, Alexandra Bazell, of Ironton; two great grandsons, Anthony Bazell, of Ironton, and Aiden Easterling, of Ironton; one great great grandson, Hayden Stapleton, of Ironton.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6 to 8 p.m. today, at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home by the Rev. Greg Frasure.  Burial will be in the Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
In lieu of flowers, if you wish, donations may be made to the Friends of Lawrence Co. Dog Pound.

Shelia Anne Graham, 59, of Proctorville died Friday, Nov. 11, 2016 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
