Linda Conley

Jan. 28, 1945 — Nov. 23, 2016

Linda Kay Conley, 71, of Coal Grove, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Kentucky. The Lawrence County native was born Jan. 28, 1945, a daughter of the late William and Wilma Avery Noble.
Ms. Conley attended Dawson-Bryant High School and was a former employee for Bartram’s Grocery in the deli department, retiring after 10 years of service. She also enjoyed working at the City Mission feeding the homeless and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by four daughters, Regina Skeens, Jackie Mercer, Angie Thompson and Bambie (Jeff) Davidson, all of Ironton; a son, Danny (Tina) Skeens, of Comanche, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Rev. Jeff Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Ross Cemetery and visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home. Clara Pearson

Clara J. Pearson, 86, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Huntington, West Virginia native was born Nov. 6, 1930, a daughter of the late Monroe G. and Garnet Gregory McCoy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lairmore Pearson, who passed away Jan. 11, 1994.
Mrs. Pearson attended Huntington High School and was a former security dispatcher for Marshall University. She was also a former cook in the officer’s mess hall in the Air Force.
She is survived by a daughter, Jodie Perry, of Coal Grove; two sons, Lairmore “Jay” Pearson, of Huntington, West Virginia, and Jamie (Karen) Pearson, of Bethlehem, New Hampshire; seven grandchildren, Allen (Amy) Perry, Tyler Perry, Craig (Tatiana) Pearson, Cameron Pearson, Shelby Perry, Ivy Pearson and Kira Pearson; and eight great-grandchildren.

Scott Silker

Scott M. Silker, 40, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington.
Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Apostolic Life Cathedral, Huntington, by the Rev. E.S. Harper. Burial will follow in Crooks Cemetery, Wayne, West Virginia.
