Many helped mission Thanksgiving succeed

I would like to take this time to express my heart felt gratitude to all of the individuals, churches, businesses, civic groups and schools who helped the Mission during Thanksgiving. Through the contributions of caring people, we were able to serve 902 meals this year.
The Mission has been helping people in our community for 72 years. For more than 60 of these years, we have been serving a large Thanksgiving Day meal.
The mission also provides food and toys to those who are in need in our community during Christmas.
As we are nearing the time in which we will give out the food and toys to more than 500 families who have registered, as well as over 700 children, we once again turn to our community for help.
Any amount of the gift is appreciated and if you want you can drop off new toys and non-perishable food items any time before Dec. 23. Any gift given to the Mission before the end of the year can be used as a charitable donation on your taxes.
For more information feel free to cal the office at 740-532-5041 or send a gift to City Welfare Mission 710 North 5th St. Ironton, OH 45638.
God bless you all and I hope each of you have a merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.
