PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth Trojans are known for having offensive explosion on their home court.
The offense blew up on Friday as the Trojans beat the Rock Hill Redmen 81-41 in an Ohio Valley Conference game.
Portsmouth had 13 players score led by Kendall Reynolds with 19 points. Matt Malone hit four 3-pointers as he scored 14 points.
Tyler Damron was the only Rock Hill player in double figures with 12 points.
Malone hit three 3-pointers and Reynolds had five points including a 3-pointer as Portsmouth grabbed an 18-6 first quarter lead.
The Trojans (6-3, 2-2) outscored Rock Hill 20-11 in the second quarter as Reynolds hit two trifecta and Malone and Reese Johnson hit one triple each and it was 38-17 at the half.
Damron and Timmy Adkins combined for nine points in the quarter for Rock Hill (1-10, 0-6).
Reynolds scored seven points in the third quarter and six different players scored as Portsmouth extended its lead to 57-25.
Tanner Stamper had six points and Branden Stamper five to lead the Redmen in the fourth quarter. Logan Reed and both Stampers hit 3-pointers as the Redmen scored 16 points.
Rock Hill hosts St. Joseph on Tuesday and South Point next Friday. Portsmouth is at Ironton on Tuesday.
