John Conley, Jr., 86, of South Point, passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, with Jerry Greenslait officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point. John was born April 10, 1930, in Canvas, West Virginia, a son of the late John Conley, Sr. and Della Mae Carroway Conley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Elva Callicoat Conley; two sisters, Bea Jordan and Trudy Simms; and three brothers, BW Conley, Cecil Conley and Orville Conley.
He was a pipefitter and contractor.
John is survived by his wife, Diane Conley; his children, Doug (Debbie) Conley, John P. Conley and Sclena Mae Ellis; a sister, Kathryn Standish; 11 grandchildren, Heather (Roger) Maynard, of Proctorville, Dr. Josh (Micca) Conley, of Grove City, Angie (Matt) Holt, Peri (Willie) Costly, Lucas (Candace) Conley and Clayton (Jyoti) Conley, all of Lexington, Kentucky, Ryan Deerfield, of South Point, Russell Deerfield, of Ashland, Kentucky, Jesse Mezo, of Proctorville, Ashley Mezo, of Huntington, West Virginia, and James H. Howell, of Lancaster; 15 great-grandchildren; and his buddy, Randy Lutes.

Patricia Keeton

Patricia Keeton, 73, passed away due to complications of surgery, on Wednesday, Jan. 18 2017. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard & Ruth Wolfrey.
She is survived by her children, Cathy (Larry) Paul, of Lakeland Florida, James Keeton, Lynnette Keeton, and their father, Russ Keeton, of Chicora Florida; plus two grandchildren, Brittany and Bradley. There will be no visitation. A gathering of friends & family will be planned for a later date.

Virgie Lucille Carter, 93, of the Camdus Community, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017.
