PROCTORVILLE — In the words of the late comedian Jimmy Durante, “Everybody’s trying to get into the act.”
Everyone was getting “into the act” on Saturday for the Fairland Lady Dragons who had 12 different players score in an 80-22 romp over the Portsmouth West Lady Senators.
Jackie Wagner scored 15 points to lead the Lady Dragons. Allie Marshall scored 11 while Issy McKinney and Alesha Simpson added nine each.
None of Fairland’s starters played in the fourth quarter and coach Jon Buchanan substituted freely.
Fairland (15-2) hit a dozen 3-pointers en route to the win.
Makayla White had 10 points for West.
Fairland jumped out to a 17-5 first quarter lead as Wagner scored eight points and Marshall hit a 3-pointer.
Emily Chapman hit two 3-pointers, Marshall, Britney Thompson and McKinney all made a 3-pointer and Simpson had six points as the lead ballooned to 42-11 at the half.
Morgan Fridley and Marshall each hit a 3-pointer and scored five points in the third quarter and McKinney added another triple as Fairland went up 66-15.
Fairland hosts South Point on Monday.
