Harold Music

Aug. 11, 1938 — Jan. 25, 2017

Harold Leslie Music, 78, of Coal Grove, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
The Johnson County, Kentucky native was born Aug. 11, 1938, a son of the late Abe and Rosa Short Music. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Marcia J. Wheeler Music, whom he married Feb. 14, 1987.
Mr. Music was a graduate of Paintsville High School and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a former electrician at Ironton Iron, a former member of the Masonic Lodge and the V.F.W. Post 8850. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sheridan and attended Cross Community Church “C3” in South Point. He also loved to golf.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters, Ernest Music, Homer Music, Buretta Preston, Fred Music, Josephine Hughes, Fannie Hamilton and Linda Pelfrey.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four children, Ronda (Lee) Morrison, of Flatwoods, Kentucky, Deborah Music, of Ironton, Brian Music, of Coal Grove, and John (Audra) Litteral, of Ashland; six grandchildren, Jimmy Lemon, Kristin Lemon, Ryan Music, Erica Mullins, Chase Music and Jonathan Litteral; and two great grandchildren, Kylee Music and Isaac Lemon.
Funeral services will be 1p.m. Monday at the Cross Community Church “C3” in South Point, with Pastor Jimmy Lemon and the Rev. Billy Markins officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery and visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Yvonne Barker

Yvonne Shutt Barker, 79, of South Point, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, at Heartland of Riverview, South Point. She is survived by her husband, Charles Barker. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, with the Rev. Greg Aldridge officiating. Margaret A. Chatfield, 80, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Jan. 26, 2017.
She was born July 1, 1936 in Lawrence County, the daughter of the late John & Grace (Null) Tibbs.
She is survived by a son, Jim (Sandy) Chatfield; a daughter, Jayne (Mike) Koontz; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Sally Lewis and Sue Blankenship; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Chatfield; two brothers, Don and Abby Tibbs; and a sister, Betty Cremeans.

Donna Gullett

Donna Rose Gullett, of South Point, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017 at home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home in South Point, with Pastors Aaron Childers and Rock Dearfield officiating. Marlene Carter, 73, of Proctorville, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2017.  She is survived by her husband Gary Carter. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at

Glenn Donley

Nov. 28, 1970 — Jan. 27, 2017

Glenn Joseph “Joe” Donley, 46, of Pedro, passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2017 at the Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
The Lawrence County, Ohio native was born Nov. 28, 1970, a son of the late Glenn Everett and Juanita Faulkner Donley.
Joe attended Rock Hill High School and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and having a good time.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents.
He is survived by three sisters, Kim Donley, Lin McFann and Tammy (Don) Mays, all of Pedro; his dog, Bambi; special friends, John and Tanner Brooks, Megan Porter, Dustin Carmon and Bobbi Carmon; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, with the Rev. Jesse Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Furnace Cemetery and visitation will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. William Adkins

CWO 4 William D. Adkins (Ret), 75, of Ona, West Virginia, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2017, at his residence following a brief illness. Funeral services will take place on Sunday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, with burial to follow in Rome Cemetery. Military services will be provided by Proctorville VFW Post 6878 and the Marine Corp League.
