Esther Collins, 85, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at a local health care center. The Dayton native was born Aug. 18, 1931, a daughter of the late Austin and Rose Marie West.
Ms. Collins attended Vandalia Schools, was a homemaker and of the Christian faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Rusty Collins; and a daughter, Lillian Gayle Collins.
She is survived by a daughter: Corinna (Daniel Davis) Gray, of Ironton; a son, David A. West, of Washington Courthouse; grandchildren, David Ray, Joshua, Zackery, Derek, Brandon, Amy, Daniel and Mason; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Georgette Green; three sisters-in-law, Joyce Byars, Mary Adams and Barb Barnett, all of Dayton; three brothers-in-law, Rob Collins, Carl Collins and John Barnett, all of Dayton; and many nieces and nephews

Laura Fullerton

Jan. 13, 1921 — Feb. 6, 2017

Laura Jane Fullerton, 96, of Coal Grove, passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. Mrs. Fullerton was born Jan. 13, 1921, in Ironton, a daughter to the late Frank and Emma (Freeman) Stephenson and the oldest of seven children. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Calver Fullerton, whom she married Nov. 20, 1941.
Mrs. Fullerton was a graduate of Ironton High School. She was a homemaker and attended the Coal Grove Memorial United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, James David Fullerton in 1961; two sisters, Nancy Hammonds and Emma Harvey; and four brothers, David, William, Frank and Thomas Stephenson.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, John Stephen and Donna Fyffe Fullerton, of Ironton; daughter and son-in-law, Jane Fullerton and Thomas Jenkins, of Columbus; granddaughter, Mikelle Ann Sheffield, of Lakeland, Florida; three great-grandchildren, Zachary Fine, Noah and Luke Sheffield; and sister-in-law, Bernice Stephenson. Also left to mourn her passing, Eric and Rachel Jenkins, Connor and Katie Jenkins, Ian and Paula Jenkins, and Isabela and Addison Jenkins, all of Delaware. Ohio.

William “Bill” Eugene Johnson, Sr., 99, of Proctorville, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017, at home.
