Betty Ann Joseph

June 23, 1947 — Feb. 10, 2017

Betty Ann Joseph, 69, of Ironton, passed away Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Kentucky. The Ironton native was born June 23, 1947, a daughter of the late Robert and Opal McCarty Huff.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Joseph, whom she married July 6, 1967.
Mrs. Joseph was a 1965 graduate of Rock Hill High school, a streamstress for Henthorn’s Cleaners and was a member of Woodland Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Roger Edward Joseph; two brothers, Ralph Huff and Bill Huff; two sisters, Dora Huff and Anita Caudill; a sister-in-law, Carol Jean Huff; and two brothers-in-law, Marion “Clinton” Sark and Charles Caudill.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Mike (Kristi) Joseph, of Ironton, and Roger (Danielle) Joseph, of Kitts Hill; three grandchildren, Courtney Joseph, of Ironton, and Kamryn Joseph and Colton Joseph, both of Kitts Hill; fours sisters, Bertha Sark, of Ironton, Verna (Carl) Morman, of Ironton, Bernice (Jeff) Matney, of Kitts Hill, and Donna (Perry) Lawson, of South Point; two brothers, Freddie (Diane) Huff, of South Point, and Clarence Huff, of Ironton; and a sister-in-law, Thelma Huff, of Ironton.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Dave Schug and Jimmy Kimble officiating. Raymond Short

Raymond E. Short, 54, of Ironton, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at the Cornerstone Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia, after a sudden illness. His care has been entrusted to Brown Funeral Chapel. www.brownfuneralchapel.org.

Roy Neal

July 8, 1952 — Feb. 9, 2017

Roy Allen Neal, 64, of Dallastown, Pennsylvania, passed away Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania. Born in Cincinnati, on July 8, 1952, Roy was the son of the late Floyd Elwood Neal and Mary A. Clutters Neal.
He is survived by his partner of nearly 35 years, and husband, William L. Countryman Jr., whom he married January 1, 2013.
Mr. Neal was a high school graduate of Leavittsburg High School and a nurse for the North Broward Medical Center, Pompano Beach Florida, for 20 years. He enjoyed cooking and cross-stitch. He had a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Master’s Degrees in Nursing and Health Care Management.
In addition to his husband, he is survived by three sisters, Trina Bentolini, Tracey (Earl Barnes) Young and Janet Stoots; a brother, William (Denise) Neal; 11 nieces and nephews; and four great-nieces and a great-nephew.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Rev. Jeff Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Mamre Cemetery and visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Roy’s honor to the American Diabetes Association or the Gift of Life Program. Audrey Adkins

Audrey Adkins, 93, of South Point, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville.
