Allen Miller
Allen Lindsey Miller, 67, of Marietta, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at his home. Throughout his journey, which ended with cancer, he loved Jesus with all his heart, mind and soul.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Powell Miller; and his daughter, Emily Miller Burns (Patrick), of Boise, Idaho.
He is predeceased by his parents, Lindsey Merrill and Edna Knight Miller, of Miller; and an infant son, Allen Jr.
Special thanks to his loving team of doctors, Dr. Kelli Cawley, Dr. Vassan, Amy Cline, the Strecker Cancer Center staff and the entire Hospice team.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in Allen’s name, to the Marietta College Football Program at Marietta College Office of Advancement, 215 5th Street, Marietta, Ohio 45750.
A celebration of his life will be between 1-4 p.m. Saturday at the Galley upstairs banquet room, 203 Second Street, Marietta.
Victor Lewis
Victor V. Lewis, 72, of Proctorville, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, West Virginia.
Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Carolyn Myers
Carolyn S. Myers, 62, of Chesapeake, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia.
She is survived by her husband, James Myers. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville.
James Sloan, Jr.
James E. Sloan, Jr., of Kitts Hill, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Spears Sloan. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, with pastor Lenny Campbell and pastor Gary Henry officiating. Burial will follow at Ice Creek Cemetery.

Brenda Hosey
Brenda G. Derifield Hosey, 76, of Pedro, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, at SOMC in Portsmouth.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Steve Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery and visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
