Tom Bloomfield

Jan. 20, 1950 — March 12, 2017

Tom Bloomfield, 67, loving husband, father and grandfather, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Ironton Campus, Ironton.
He was born January 20, 1950 to the late Ward and Eva Woods Bloomfield.
Tom worked as a maintenance man for the Jackson City Schools. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church in Ironton. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and fisherman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Bloomfield.  Tom is survived by his wife, Linda Sue Bloomfield; two sons Chris (Katie) Bloomfield and Brad (Gina) Bloomfield; two brothers Robert (Judy) Bloomfield and Russ (Diane) Bloomfield; six sisters Edith Dickens, Juanita Newman, Shirley (Joseph) Porter, Vickie (Donald) Welch, Linda Bloomfield, and Helen Hunter; two step-children Amanda (Richard) Martin and Chris Jenkins; 10 grandchildren; sister-in-law Cindy (David) Huber; brother-in-law Bob (Mariann) Long; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday at Sharon Baptist Church, 2010 South Fifth Street, Ironton, with Rev. Steve Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Ironton.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Thursday at the Church.

Sherri Lynn Gould, 53, of Chesapeake, died Sunday, March 12, 2017, at her residence.  She was born Nov. 2, 1963, in Huntington.
