Hattie Clark

April 2, 1932 — March 24, 2017

Hattie Belle Clark, 84, of Coal Grove, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017, at her residence. The Sharpsburg, Kentucky native was born April 2, 1932, the daughter of the late Alamander and Daisy Jewell Leach. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Clark, who passed away in February 2004.
Hattie was a graduate of Kitts Hill High School and attended Collins Career Center for Nursing. She was a nurse at St. George Hospital and a member of Sugar Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Flood.
She is survived by three sons, John R. (Maryann) Palmer, of Indiana, Ronald R. Palmer, of Virginia, and David R. (Danielle) Nash, of Indiana; four daughters, Kathy Palmer Neukirch, of Texas, Karyn Asinas, of Florida, Carolyn Kay (Kevin) Thompson, of Cincinnati, and Traci (Rick) Plowman, of Indiana; four brothers, William Thomas Leach, Charles Leach, and Jerry (Pam) Leach, all of Ironton, and John Leach, of Wooster; one sister, Mary (Emerson) Browning, of Dayton; grandchildren, Chrystal Palmer, Kevin Palmer, Matthew Neukirch, Jennifer Neukirch, Amanda Thompson, Jon Thompson, Tewai Asinas, Tai Asinas, Dara Nash, David Nash, Danica Nash, Taylor Payne, Hanna Belle Plowman, Tabitha Plowman, Holli Plowman and Timothy Plowman; and great-grandchildren, Zander, Bella, Maddie, Kayla, Abby, Eliza Belle, Austin, Sydney, Hunter, Josh, Piper, Avery, Cailyn, Palmer, Anna and Lauren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Dr. Dennis Hankins and pastor Mike Long officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sugar Creek Christian Academy. James N. McCloud, 93, of Proctorville, died Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at VA Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia.
Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Ann Catholic Church, Chesapeake. Burial will take place at noon Tuesday at National Cemetery, Grafton, West Virginia. Randall Lee Ryder, 79, of Proctorville, died Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center, Huntington, West Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Dutrow Ryder.
