Connie Adkins
April 14, 1948 — April 8, 2017
Connie Jo Mercer Adkins, 68, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Jo-Lin nursing home in Ironton.
The Ironton native was born April 14, 1948, a daughter to the late Nelson Mercer and Agnes Delawder Mercer. Connie is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jim Adkins.
Mrs. Adkins was a 1966 graduate of Ironton High School. She was also a bank teller for Citizens National Bank with over 20 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ironton, she also served on the Memorial Day Parade Committee and was also a former parade commander and Grand Marshall.
In addition to her husband, Connie is survived by one son, Craig (Tomi) Adkins; two granddaughters, Myriah (Wade Madden) Adkins and Katie Leibee; one grandson, Lee (Myra) Hamilton; and one great-granddaughter, Rhylynn Hamilton, all of Ironton.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, with Pastor Rob Hale officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Tuesday.

Vera B. Andrews, 62, of Huntington, died Friday, April 7, 2017 at home. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, is in charge of arrangements, which are incomplete.
Bobby Clagg
Bobby Joe “B.J.” Clagg, 60, of Proctorville, died April 7, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Kelli Lindsey Clagg. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville by Pastor Randy Thompson. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville.
