CINCINNATI — Leading off and getting the summer series off and running is No. 16, Leo “Mr. Automatic” Cardenas.
When the “Dinner with the Boys of Summer” series begins on Tuesday, Cincinnati Reds’ Hall of Fame shortstop Leo Cardenas will be the featured speaker.
A four-time All-Star with the Reds and a 1965 Gold Glove winner, Cardenas twice led the National League in fielding percentage for shortstops.
Now a member of the Reds’ Hall of Fame, the Matanzas, Cuba, native will tell stories, pose for photographs and take audience questions with the “ballpark buffet” dinner.
Persons attending the event will get dinner, appetizers and soft drinks and will also receive Cardenas’ 2017 bobblehead created by the Reds Hall of Fame., a signed photo of Leo and an admission ticket for the Reds Hall of Fame.

The event will be held from 6:30-to-8 p.m. at Jax Tavern located at 1081 Smiley Avenue, Forest Park, Ohio 45240. Parking is free and immediately adjacent to the venue.
