SOUTH POINT — This game belonged to Jonathan Henline, and in turn it belonged to the South Point Pointers.

Henline struck out nine and walked one. The only run was unearned.
Ryan Williams threw well in defeat. He struck out seven, walked two and gave up seven hits.
South Point (12-5, 6-4) scored twice in the second.
Henline singled and scored on a double by Douglas Shaffer. A wild pitch moved Shaffer to third and he scored on a squeeze bunt by Drew Smith.
Portsmouth got its run in the fourth when Vincent Schwamberger got a one-out single, stole second, took third on a passed ball and scored on an error.
The Pointers answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning.
Henline doubled, Shaffer walked and Logan Rose sacrificed the runners up a base. Elijah Adams then delivered a two-out, two-run singled
On Wednesday, South Point hosts Ironton to finish a suspended game and to play the regular game. Portsmouth hosts Rock Hill.
