PINE GROVE — Double your pleasure.
Double winners highlighted the past two weeks of competition with the Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association of the Ironton Country Club.
Last week hostess Wanda Spears served the breakfast treats, set up the day’s events and announced the winners at lunch.
Margaret Donley led the way with two wins while Pat Riggs and Pat Lambert had one win each.
Last week’s outing had Donley as the hostess and both Betty Fraley and Lambert notched two event wins each.
Currently the Ringer and Handicap tournaments are being played.
Next week’s hostess will be Rose Auble.
The club meets each Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. for a brief business meeting and breakfast treats. After golfing at 10 a.m., the group gathers for lunch and winners are announced.
The club is always accepting new members and women do not have to be a member of the Ironton Country Club to join the Ladies Nine Hole League.
Also, Friday evenings are Couples’ Night with a 5:30 p.m. starting time for nine holes of golf. There will be appetizers following play.
