Youth band to perform at concert series

The Christ Temple Youth Band will perform Tuesday, July 25 at the Ironton Farmers Market as part of the Tuesday Downtown Concert Series.

The free event is at 6:30 p.m.

“This is one you don’t want to miss,” said Ironton aLive executive director Sam Heighton. “Come early and have dinner at one of our fine downtown restaurants.Bring the kids, especially your teenagers, and a chair, it’s a family event.”

The concerts are produced by Studimo, iHeart Media and Ironton aLive and sponsored by Phillips Funeral Home, Glockner Dealerships, Perry Distributors, WesBanco, and Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.

The concert series runs until the end of August and is part of an effort for the community to enjoy the market space.

“The farmers’ market is growing every week and is loaded with great homegrown and locally-grown produce,” Heighton said. “You’ll also find honey, baked goods, jelly, fruit butters, eggs, homemade crafts, plus the friendliest vendors and shoppers.”

The market is on Second Street in downtown Ironton and is open Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. or until the good are sold out.

The farmers market is a project of Ironton aLive and sponsored by Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
