Do the right thing and pay

I  have been in town for a little more than a month. I am amazed at the fact people think that the local paid subscription newspaper can be rummaged through for coupons at the store or in the honor boxes.

They are called honor boxes because it is on your honor that you put the money in for a paper and only take one. Taking more than what you have paid for is theft.

There are cameras around town and those caught taking more than what they have paid for will be prosecuted. We have caught one person at the post office and the police have given them a warning.

I ask that you respect the men and women who work very hard to bring you the local news and apparently want to be paid for their work.

These people are your neighbors and friends that you are hurting by stealing papers. So please respect the honor boxes and do the right thing… pay for the paper.
