The deadline for filing for the fall general election in Lawrence County has passed, and a number of candidates have presented petitions to run for offices.

Judicial races
• Lawrence County Municipal Court Judge: Incumbent Donald Capper is running unopposed.
• Ironton Municipal Court Judge: Incumbent O.C. Collins is retiring and Mark McCown and Kevin Waldo have filed to run.

City council
• Ironton City Council: Four seats are up for election. Incumbents Bob Cleary and Beth Rist have filed to run. Incumbent and vice-mayor Craig Harvey has filed, as has Jim Tordiff, who was appointed to fill a vacancy. Also running are Carl Nate Kline, Charley Haney, Shala Black and Brad Lowe.

Village councils
• Chesapeake Village Council: Four seats are on the ballot. Incumbents Richard McMaster, Paul Hart and Richard Stover have filed for re-election. Bill Duncan, who was appointed to fill a vacancy, has filed as well. Also running is Danny Burd.
• Coal Grove Village Council: Four seats are on the ballot. Incumbents Kimberly McKnight and Shawn McDaniel have filed for re-election. Also running are Diana Wise, Jay Sherman and Frederick Rousch.
• Hanging Rock Village Council: Four seats are up for election. Incumbent Timothy Dickens and David Hopper have filed for re-election. Also running is John K. Waginger.
• Proctorville Village Council: Four seats are on the ballot.
Incumbents Brenda Chapman has filed for re-election. Also running are Pamela Legg, Margie Whitley, Jerry Thompson and Lisa Nutter.
• South Point Village Council: Four seats are on the ballot. Incumbents Mary Cogan, Chris Smith and David Moore have filed for re-election. Also running are Bill Patrick, Marlene Arthur and Donald Ray Fitzpatrick Jr.

Township races
• Aid Township Trustees:
Two seats are on the ballot. Incumbents Brian Pancake and George Patterson are seeking re-election.
• Decatur Township Trustees:
Two seats are on the ballot. Incumbents Ronnie Cox and Timothy Blagg are seeking re-election. Also running is Timothy Boggs.
• Elizabeth Township Trustees:
Two seats are on the ballot. Incumbents David Wilds and Woody Sparks are seeking re-election. Also running are Rickey Cox and Joe Kline.
• Fayette Township Trustees: Two seats are on the ballot. Incumbents Perry Brock and Travis Wise are seeking re-election. Also running are Mike Finley and Mike Jones.
• Hamilton Township: Two trustee seats are on the ballot and incumbents Bob Blankenship and Forrest Kerns are seeking re-election. A fiscal officer, with an unexpired term, is on the ballot and Tony Hopper has filed for the office.
• Lawrence Township Trustees: Two seats are on the ballot. Incumbents Scott Gore and Brent Dickess are seeking re-election. Also running is Larry Purnestti.
• Mason Township Trustees: Two seats are on the ballot. Incumbents Stephen S. Colegrove and Jeff Estep are seeking re-election. Also running are Chris Thompson and John Kelley.
• Perry Township Trustees: Two seats are on the ballot. Incumbents Jeffrey Joseph and Barry Blankenship are seeking re-election. Also running are Bill Allen and George Rowe.
• Rome Township Trustees: Two seats are on the ballot. Incumbents Mark Bailey and Brian Pinkerman are seeking re-election.
• Symmes Township Trustees: Two seats are on the ballot. Incumbents Ronald Hatfield and Richard Carpenter are seeking re-election. Also running are Gene Myers, Chester Waugh and Sammy Mitchell.
• Union Township Trustees: Two seats are on the ballot. Incumbents Jason Earl Forbush and Mike Curry are seeking re-election. Also running are Cole Webb and Mathew Maynard.
• Upper Township Trustees: Two seats are on the ballot. Incumbents Robert Ackerman and Don Klaiber are seeking re-election. Also running are Randall Wise and Michael McDaniels.
• Washington Township Trustees: Two seats are on the ballot. Incumbents Charles Mike Freeman and Jerry Kelly are seeking re-election.
• Windsor Township Trustees: Two seats are on the ballot. Incumbents Robert Burcham and Brian Williams are seeking re-election. Also running are Chad Crank and Norman Humphrey.

School boards
• Chesapeake School Board: Two seats are on the ballot. Incumbents Jeanne Harmon and Ron Saunders are seeking re-election.
• Dawson-Bryant School Board: Three seats are on the ballot. Incumbents Brady Harrison, Jamie Murphy and Debra Drummond are seeking re-election. Also running are Brady Harrison, Rebecca Wheeler and Shannon Murphy.
• Fairland School Board: Three seats are on the ballot. Incumbents Gary Sowards Jr., Martin Appleton and Matt Ward are seeking re-election.
• Ironton School Board: Two seats are on the ballot. Incumbent Jay Zornes is seeking re-election. Also running are Austin Thomas, Jacquelyn Price, Jerry Rowe II, Robert Pleasant Jr., and Jolinda Heaberlin.
• Rock Hill School Board:
Two seats are on the ballot. Incumbents Wanda Jenkins and Paul David Knipp are seeking re-election. Also running are Keith Harper and Phillip Bailey.
• South Point School Board:
Two seats are on the ballot. Incumbent and board president Janice Keatley is seeking re-election. Also running is Josh Parker.
• Symmes Valley School Board:
Three seats are on the ballot. Incumbents Tommy Shepherd and Hope Rowe are seeking re-election. Also running are Tammie Myers, Derek Wilson, Chris Webb and John Sharp.
• Lawrence County ESC: Three seats are on the ballot. Incumbents Phil Carpenter and Ray Malone are seeking re-election. Also running is Carla Salyer.
