This week, South Point Mayor Jeff Gaskin shared the news that he has been elected for two terms to serve on executive committee of the Ohio Mayors Association.

First elected in 2015, Gaskin has served the village diligently and has been an accessible mayor and an optimistic leader, qualities that likely led to his selection for this role.

And his work experience with Lawrence County Emergency Services has put him in touch with the needs and problems the county faces.

As a member of the committee, Gaskin will represent Lawrence, Pickaway, Hocking, Ross, Vinton, Pike, Jackson, Scioto, Meigs and Gallia counties and act as an advocate for southern Ohio.

We congratulate Gaskin for his election to the committee and hope that he can advocate for region while serving in the position.
