John Huff

Feb. 19, 1941 — Sept. 17, 2017

John William Huff, 76, of Kitts Hill, passed away Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017, at the King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Cannonsburg, Kentucky native was born Feb. 19, 1941, a son of the late Arnold Wade and Marie Boggs Huff.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Faye Ridgeway Huff, whom he married June 28, 1958.
John was a 1959 graduate of Ironton High School and a former carpet installer for McCauley’s Furniture in Ironton, retiring after 38 years of service. He attended Plymouth Heights Church of the Nazarene in Franklin Furnace. He was a member of the Huntington Beagle Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John David Huff; and a sister, Joan Dennin.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Angela Terry, of Ironton; two sons, Gregory (Chuck) Huff-Hogsten, of Ironton, and Jeffrey (Nancy) Huff, of Kitts Hill; two sisters, Hazel Smith and Arnella Koster, both of Ironton; six grandchildren, Tiffany (Chris) Collier, Kristen (Mike Hill) Crabtree, John Michael (McKayla Herrell) Terry, Jenna Hogsten, Bethanie (Adam) Corn and J.J. (Stephanie) Huff; and six great-grandchildren, Jonathan Collier, Dean Collier, Rocky Huff, Rowdy Huff, Adalyn Corn and Annabeth Corn.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Andy Ramey officiating. Burial will follow in Aid Cemetery and visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Leland Fulks

Leland Kirkman Fulks, of Ironton, died on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017. He was 78. Leland, or Lee as he was known, is survived by his wife of 53 years, Arlene; and his three sons, John, Art and Daren, and their spouses; and 12 grandchildren.
Mr. Fulks was the son of N. D. and Sylvia Fulks, of Scottown, and one of 11 children. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Norma and Jennie Mae; and four brothers, Charles, Glenn, Claude, and Joe.
He is survived by four brothers, Jeff, Dan, Ross, and Frank.
Leland was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and a member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church in Wilgus. He faithfully shared the Gospel of salvation by grace through faith in his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Leland graduated from Fairland High School and attended Rio Grande College and Morehead State University. He taught school in the Fairland school district before serving in the U.S. Army. He worked 28 years at Armco (AK) Steel. He then served on the facilities staff at Dawson-Bryant schools for 17 years. He had served on the Dawson-Bryant School Board and as a Perry Township trustee.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton. Edna Frances Elias, 95, of South Point, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at Midland Meadows Assisted Living, Ona, West Virginia.
