Quilt raffle to help aid Chesapeake student

CHESAPEAKE — In an effort of support student Tanner Harr who has been diagnosed with bone cancer, Chesapeake High School staff members Jennifer Stapleton and her sister Melissa McCloud, the school is sponsoring a raffle to help raise money to help with Harr’s medical expenses.
Stapleton and McCloud made a quilt valued at $350 to be given away. Ticket donations are $1 and can be purchase at the high school office or during the homecoming game on Friday, Sept. 29.
The raffle is supported by other staff members who have made monetary donations as well.
All proceeds will go to the Harr family. The drawing will take place during the third quarter of the homecoming game against Ironton.
