Outdoor event set for special needs youth

WINDSOR TOWNSHIP — Special Needs Youth Sportsmen Inc. will have a free field day and modified European style pheasant hunt for all interested Special Needs Youth on Saturday, Oct. 21 at the Collins Career and Technical Center farm facility located at the end of Township Road/114 South in Windsor Township.
The event begins at 10 a.m. Participants are urged to arrive and sign in by 9:30 a.m. A caravan will form at the school located on State Route 243 at 9 a.m. and will depart for the farm facility at 9:15 a.m.
The morning will begin with clay target shooting and archery stations for all kids. Following this, pheasants will be released in a controlled manner for the participants, with the aid of adult mentors.
The event is free to all participants and families. All equipment and materials will be furnished for all participants. Lunch will be provided free for participants and families.
