Ironton Hall of Fame
banquet set Oct. 28
The Ironton High School Athletic Hall of Fame will have its induction dinner from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, in the high school cafeteria.
Tickets for the dinner are $10 and can be purchased at the door.
This year’s honorees will be introduced during the football game on Friday, Oct. 27, against Portsmouth.
This year’s induction class includes Rick “Meat” Boykin, Dick Gallagher, Mike Brown, Jason Harmon and Lauren Triplett-Schweickart.

Lady Dragons holding
rummage sale Saturday
The Fairland Lady Dragons’ basketball team will conduct a rummage sale fundraiser from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday in the high school gym.
Items for sale include antiques, clothes, small appliances and other knick knacks.
Donations are welcomed.

The Special Needs Youth Sportsmen, Inc., will conduct a Field Day and modified European pheasant hunt for special needs youth up to age 21 on Saturday, Oct. 21, in Lawrence County.

Community Hospice 5K
race on October 21
The Community Hospice will conduct its annual Run In Remembrance 5K Race on Saturday, Oct. 21, starting at Ohio University Southern, Ninth and Heplar Sts.
Fee is $20 before Oct. 13 and $25 after Oct. 13 and race day. Shirts are guaranteed to the first 150 runners. Checks should be made payable to Community Hospice, Inc.
Race day registration will be from 7:15 to 8:15 a.m. The race begins at 8:30 a.m.
Awards will be presented in 15 different age divisions for males and females. There will be no duplicate awards. Food and door prizes will be available after the race.

Marshall lists options
to watch Herd game
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Football (3-1, 0-0 Conference USA) will face the Charlotte 49ers (0-5, 0-1) Saturday evening at 6 p.m. in a contest that will take place in Jerry Richardson Stadium in the Queen City.
The game will air on the CW Network via WQCW in Huntington/Charleston and WCCB in Charlotte.
