Cecil T. Clary

January 2, 1939 – Oct. 24, 2017
Cecil T. Clary, 78, of Scottown, died at his residence on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017.
He was born Jan. 2, 1939, in Scottown, son of the late Ora J. and Ada J. Hoskinson Clary. Cecil was married to Phyllis Waugh and she preceded him in death in 2014. He was a graduate of Waterloo High School and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was retired from Rockwell International.
Surviving are his son, Cecil T. (Lisa) Clary Jr., of Scottown; four grandchildren, Chris Clary, Kelly Clary, Cecil T. Clary III, and Brittany Jackson, all of Scottown;  and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, and his wife, Phyllis Clary, Cecil was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Preston Clary in 2000; and six sisters, Mary Joy, Hilda Newton, Frieda Cribbage, Meda Holmes, Della Buskirk and Edna Cochran.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, at Perkins Ridge Cemetery. There will be military rites at the graveside given by the Gallia County Funeral Detail. Willis Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Terry Lee Stroud, 71, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville.

Gloria Miniard

Gloria Miniard, 76, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at her residence. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, at England Hill Free Will Baptist Church, Catlettsburg, Kentucky, with pastor Willie May officiating. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park, Ashland. Friends may call at the church from 6-9 p.m. Friday. Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, is assisting the family with arrangements. Chad Edward Lewis, 41, of Crown City, died Saturday Oct. 21, 2017, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Ashley Dawn Gandee Lewis.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, by pastor Jeff Black. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller.
Visitation will be from noon- 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Lula Shope

Lula Ann Shope, 51, of Ironton, died, Sunday Oct. 22, 2017. Keeping with her wishes she will be cremated, and a memorial service may be schedule at a later date.

Freda Miller

Freda Gail Miller, 55, of Ironton, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, at her residence. She is also survived by her husband, Jeff Miller.
Funeral services will be noon Friday, at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton  with pastor Mike Dement officiating. Burial will follow in Hanging Rock Cemetery and visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home. Herman Dearl Kitts, 74, of Proctorville, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Willa Mae Flora Kitts.
