Steven Townsend

Nov. 6, 1966 — Oct. 13, 2017

Steven Lee Townsend, 50, of Wheelersburg, passed away Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at his residence. Steven was born Nov. 6, 1966, in Ironton to Gary Lee and Nancy Carol Glazier Townsend.
Steven had worked as a firefighter in Upper Township for 15 years and was a member of Wheelersburg Baptist Church.
Steven is survived by his wife, Kimberly Jo Osborne Townsend, whom he married Jan. 31, 2006, in Wheelersburg. Also surviving are two sons, Matt Steven Townsend and Andrew Caleb Evans; two daughters, Kayla Nicole Townsend and Ashley Calah Sheffield; two brothers, Rick Allen Townsend and Gregory Keith Townsend; seven grandchildren; two nieces; and one nephew.
The family extends a special thanks to SOMC Hospice for their care during Steven’s illness.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Wheelersburg Baptist Church with pastor Brad Brandt officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home, Wheelersburg. Condolences to the family may be made at www.harrison-pyles.com.

Ginger Musick

Ginger C. Musick, 48, of Oak Hill, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at Heartland Hospice of Jackson.
She was born Feb. 1, 1969, to the late Michael and Vicki Dickess Thacker Hanshaw. She is survived by her husband, Mark Musick; and three sons, Nathan Evans, Wesley Evans and Michael Evans; two granddaughters, Gracie Evans and Savannah Evans; sister, Talisha (Jeremy) Holloway; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Lee Hanshaw.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home, Ironton. Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Zoar Cemetery, Coal Grove. In lieu of any flowers, donations can be made to any animal shelters in your area in Ginger Musick’s name, as was her love of animals and her request.

David Plybon

David Scott Plybon, 51, of Chesapeake, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017,  at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Kentucky. He is survived by his wife, Hope Shanea Hinkle Plybon.

Helen Kathleen Spears, 63, of Proctorville, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, West Virginia.
