Delia Haas
Feb. 17, 1927 — Nov. 21, 2017
Delia “Dee” Olive Haas, 90, of Pedro, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017. The Lawrence County native was born Feb. 17, 1927, the daughter of the late Elmer and Alberta Smith Goodman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Haas, Sr.
Dee was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and a clerk for the Pedro Post Office, retiring with 40 years of service. She was a member of the Wayside Chapel and loved reading, especially the Bible, and spending time with her church family and many special friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Earl “Bobby” Haas Jr.
She is survived by a son, Danny L. (Jeannie) Haas, of Ironton; and a daughter-in-law, Cassie Haas, of Pedro.
She was known as Momma Dee to her seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton, with her pastor, John Kelly, whom she loved dearly, officiating. There will be no public visitation and Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, is assisting the family with the arrangements. Her eight great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Jerry Davis
July 18, 1954- Nov. 22, 2017
Jerry Wayne Davis, 63, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. The Princeton, West Virginia native was born July 18, 1954, a son of the late John and Hazel Conner Davis.
Jerry was a 1973 graduate of Ironton High School and was a member of the Church of Christ in Ironton. He worked on the Ironton-Russell Bridge as a toll collector.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a brother, Bobby L. Davis.
He is survived by a brother, Larry (Jane) Davis of Ironton; a sister: Cora Hardy of Mansfield; two nieces, Jill (Joshua) Freeman of Ironton and Kim (Mike) Lucas of Mansfield; one nephew, Jeff (Mary) Hardy of Mansfield, three great nieces, Courtney and Gracie Hardy of Mansfield, and Hope Freeman of Ironton; three great nephews, Hunter Freeman of Ironton and Brett and Christopher Lucas of Mansfield.
There will be a memorial service at 7 p.m. Saturday, with minister Jason Ridgeway officiating. Friends and family may call from 6 p.m. Saturday until the time of the service at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, Ohio. Carl Jones
Carl Edwin Jones, 82, of Athalia, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, in his childhood home. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn J. Wheeler Jones.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller. Proctorville VFW Post 6878 will conduct military graveside rites. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
