HarbisonWalker International is doubling its efforts to find qualified employees for its new refractory plant in South Point.
The Pittsburgh-based company will host its second job fair in Lawrence County from 4-7 p.m. on Dec. 7.
This event, in which applicants can apply for the 40 jobs expected when the plant is fully operational in 2018, will take place at Ohio Means Jobs, located at 120 N. Third St. in Ironton.
HWI hosted a job fair last month at the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, which drew hundreds.
The company specializes in refractory products, which protect assets in manufacturing processes that include chemical or heat processes.
Company officials have said the positions will range from entry-level positions to those with experience in manufacturing and shipping.
Information about positions can be found at: https://careers.thinkhwi.com/careers. Company representatives will view applications and resumes ahead of time to schedule immediate interviews on Dec. 8-9, if necessary.
