Local Kroger undergoes remodeling

PROCTORVILLE — Customers shopping at Kroger’s store in Lawrence County will soon see changes.

The company has started an update of its Proctorville location, including a new interior design, painting and signage.

“When finished, the store will have a fresh and more colorful appearance that will be pleasing to our customers,” store manager Steve Gandee said in a news release.

Gandee said work will be done at night, in hopes of reducing inconvenience to shoppers. Completion is expected in approximately six weeks.

“We are grateful for the support of our loyal customers,” Gandee said. “We are delighted to be reinvesting in the appearance of our store.”

The Proctorville Kroger opened in l986 and was remodeled in 1998. The store employs approximately 100 associates.
